THEME: INVESTING IN PROCESS SAFETY FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
The event attracted more than 150 delegates from Qatar and abroad. 22 international and local speakers from several different companies came together to discuss crucial topics such as best practices, safety success stories, incident case studies, new legislative initiatives and recent advances in process safety research.
Dr. Ali Hamad Al-Mulla, Manager of Corporate Health, Safety & Environment of Qatar Petroleum and Mike Ferrow, vice president, Health, Safety and Environment, ConocoPhillips, USA delivered the keynote lectures at the event.
At the conference, undergraduate and graduate students from the TAMUQ Chemical Engineering Program presented 13 research posters to the industry. The symposium provided excellent networking opportunities for delegates from industry, regulatory institutions and academia.
